He founded the ice cream company and operated it for about 25 years before retiring in 1957. was active in the Tennessee Dairy Products Association and was a Shriner, Rotarian and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. and his wife, Margaret Lowry Meador, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1956. Their only child, a son, Raymond Meador, died several years prior to his dad. his wife, he left a sister, Mrs. George Scott of Germantown, TN and Fort Lauderdale, FL. were at National Funeral Home and burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis.2,3
