| Anecdote | Edouard Kriete, a Danish sea captain met and married a Christina Von Stryming while visiting her brother Frederic Wilhelm Von Stryming a musician at the University of Bonn in Germany. They were the children of Count Johann Von Stremying. She arrived at the Port of Baltimore in 1847. She came to America to find her husband. Passenger ship records show her leaving the port of Bremen and arriving with her six sons, all of whom can be tracked forward but no one has found anything on him. Rumors were that he followed maximillian to Mexico or was in the Mexican war. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. | |
