I, Robert Logan of Washington County and Colony of Virginia, being weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be to God calling to mind the mortality of my body, knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, Do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament. That is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life. I give, devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. First I give and bequeath to Betthiah, my beloved wife and my son William Logan all my household, good debts and moveable effects to their whole and sole use during their life and at their death what may remain shall revert to my son James Logan and his heirs forever. Likewise I give and bequeath to John Kinkead my son-in-law Ten shillings to be levied of the whole Estate. I do likewise appoint my son James Logan Executor of this my last Will and Testament. I likewise disavow all and every other former Will, Legacies Bequests and executors by me in any wise before named willed or bequeathed ratifying this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of October Seventeen hundred and eighty-seven.
