Anecdote | There were three families noted in the "Forks of the Elkhorn Church" by Ermina Darnell that had migrated from Amelia Co., VA to the Franklin/Woodford county area of KY in the late 1700's. Namely Francis and William Jackson and the son and daughter of John Dupuy, who was the brother of Peter Dupuy, Ann Dupuy Jackson's father. Peter Dupuy of Amelia Co., VA willed two black slaves to his daughter Ann Jackson in 1777. | |
