Also listed with a John & Samuel Wharton. Stub entries to Indents issued in payment of claims against South Carolina growing out of the Revolution Books U-W N416 issued the 7 July 1785 to Bartlett Whorton, for 12 pounds, 8 shillings and 6 pence for Military Duty per account audited. Interest 7 shillings 4 pence. 1790 South Carolina census shows family as 1 male of 16 and up, 2 males under 16, and 1 female born before 1790.
