I Moses Odom of Northampton County, being at present weak of body, but of sound mind and memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, viz. First, I would that all my debts be paid and discharged. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son Moses Odom one negro girl named Phillis to him and his heirs forever, and after the death of my wife Rachel Odom, I give to my son Moses Odom, the feather bed I now lie on, and all the furniture thereunto belonging; also one cow and calf; also my wearing apparel, except my great coat and hat. Item, I give and bequeath unto my son Josiah Odom, one feather bed; also one chest, and land and plantation whereon he now lives on, containing one hundred acres as formerly bounded; also one negro girl named Grace, to him and his heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my son Jacob Odom, my plantation and land whereon I now live, containing one hundred acres as formerly bounded; also one negro girl named Anikin, to him and his heirs forever; also my cider casks; likewise one hackle; also one brass kettle, to him and his heirs forever. My will and desire is that my wife and my daughter Ruth Odom, may not be molested in my house and plantation, during the time they live together and live single. Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Ruth Odom, one negro girl named Kate, also one feather bed and furniture; also one large trunk; alsomy pewter that I now own. Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachel Moore, one negro girl named China; likewise one framed table, one chest, and two ewes and lambs. Item, I give and bequeath to my wife Rachel Odom, my old negro wench called Doll, to her own proper use forever. Mywill and desire is that my wife Rachel Odom shall have the use of the remainder of the estate during her natural life. Item, I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah Odom, one negro boy named Daniel, forever. I give and bequeath to my son Moses Odom, and my son Josiah Odom, my negro girl named Doll to be equally divided between them. I give and bequeath to my son Josiah Odom, a great coat and hat, and one tan kilt. And I do nominate and appoint my son Jacob Odom, and my son Josiah Odom, my whole and sole Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I haveset my hand and affixed my seal this 14th day of May 1792.
