Birthcirca 1635Daniel Eshon was born circa 1635 in Isham, North Hamptonshire, EnglandBGO. There were various spellings of this name in early Accomack & Northampton County records: Esam, Esham, Eshan, Eshim, Eshon, Esoms, Eson, Essam, Ishon, Ishone and Ishonn. Whitelaw seemed to standardize it as Eshon.1
Will - Mentioned In13 October 1658He was mentioned in a will on 13 October 1658 in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesBGO. He was shown as Daniel Eson and given a cow called 'Sweet Lips' in the will of Derman MacCloud. He was also named as a residual legatee.2

Land Purchased1671He bought land in 1671 at tract N99, west of ExmoreBG, in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesBGO. It was in this year that Edward and Dorothy Dolby sold Daniel Eshon the eastern 100 acres of tract N99 so Eshon now had 400 acres here.6
Land Purchased1682He bought land in 1682 at tract N122, west of ExmoreBG, in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesBGO. It was in this year that William Rodolphus Jr. sold 300 aces of this tract to Daniel Esam, the same man who owned N121 and a part of N99. In 1693 Daniel Esham left this 300 acres, which he called Green's Branch Plantation to his son Daniel. Then in 1719 Daniel Eshon (wife Jane) left 200 acres to his son John and 100 acres to his son Daniel.7

It was in this year that Catharine Bowman, widow of Edmond, and Daniel and Gertrude Esham sold tract A132 (near Hallwood, Acc Co, VA) to Matthias Tyson. Gertrude was a Bowman daughter and previously had been the widow of John Cropper. (NOTE: Whitelaw shows 1694, but the Acc Co Deed Bk index show 1693.)9

My son John extr. and he to care for his sister Jane until of lawful age, and the rents of Green Branch plantation and the plantation where Fisher lives to provide for her maintenance during the term of the leases.
