Birth	circa 1635	Daniel Eshon was born circa 1635 in Isham, North Hamptonshire, EnglandB G O. There were various spellings of this name in early Accomack & Northampton County records: Esam, Esham, Eshan, Eshim, Eshon, Esoms, Eson, Essam, Ishon, Ishone and Ishonn. Whitelaw seemed to standardize it as Eshon.¹
Will - Mentioned In	13 October 1658	He was mentioned in a will on 13 October 1658 in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesB G O. He was shown as Daniel Eson and given a cow called 'Sweet Lips' in the will of Derman MacCloud. He was also named as a residual legatee.²
Marriage	29 July 1660	He and Margaret Howell were married on 29 July 1660 in Hungars Parish, Northampton, Virginia, United StatesB G. They were shown as Daniel Ishone and Margaret Howell.³
Marriage	9 February 1661/62	He and Susanna Thomas were married on 9 February 1661/62 in Hungers Parish, Northampton, Virginia, United StatesB G. They were shown as Daniel Ishom and Susanna Thomas.⁴
Land Purchased	1665	He bought land in 1665 at tracr N121, west of ExmoreB G, in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesB G O. It was in this year that Timothy Coe and wife Sarah sold 300 acres of this tract to Daniel Esom.⁵
Land Purchased	1671	He bought land in 1671 at tract N99, west of ExmoreB G, in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesB G O. It was in this year that Edward and Dorothy Dolby sold Daniel Eshon the eastern 100 acres of tract N99 so Eshon now had 400 acres here.⁶
Land Purchased	1682	He bought land in 1682 at tract N122, west of ExmoreB G, in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesB G O. It was in this year that William Rodolphus Jr. sold 300 aces of this tract to Daniel Esam, the same man who owned N121 and a part of N99. In 1693 Daniel Esham left this 300 acres, which he called Green's Branch Plantation to his son Daniel. Then in 1719 Daniel Eshon (wife Jane) left 200 acres to his son John and 100 acres to his son Daniel.⁷
Will - Mentioned In	16 July 1682	He was mentioned in a will on 16 July 1682 in Accomack, Virginia, United StatesB G O. It was on this date that Nicholas Layler, wife Jacominte, named Daniel Eshon & John White to see my will performed.⁸
Marriage	before 1693	He and Gertrude Bowman were married before 1693 in Accomack, Virginia, United StatesB G O. It was in this year that Catharine Bowman, widow of Edmond, and Daniel and Gertrude Esham sold tract A132 (near Hallwood, Acc Co, VA) to Matthias Tyson. Gertrude was a Bowman daughter and previously had been the widow of John Cropper. (NOTE: Whitelaw shows 1694, but the Acc Co Deed Bk index show 1693.)⁹
Will	23 June 1693	He signed a will on 23 June 1693 in Northampton, Virginia, United StatesB G O. To my son John Esham the 300 A. plantation where I now live. To son Daniel Esham my 300 A. plantation called "Greene Branch". To my dau. Jane Esham for life the 100 A. plantation where John Addison now lives, and then to my son John. To my dau. Margarett Dowman and her children, farm animals. To my dau. Bartha Addison and her children John, Bridget, and Susanna Addison. To my dau. Ann Hichings and her dau. My son John extr. and he to care for his sister Jane until of lawful age, and the rents of Green Branch plantation and the plantation where Fisher lives to provide for her maintenance during the term of the leases.
