This day the Sheriff made a return of an attachment granted to William Kendall Senr Gentleman by John Jarmanson Gentleman executed in the estate of Mordica Holt in the hands of Ann Scott and John Hanby and some goods and the said kendall proving his acct according to law therefore Judgment is granted to the Pltf by the Court against the said Holt for 448 lbs tobacco forthwith to be paid to the said Kendall out of the said Holts estate 3 barrells and a half of Indian corn in the hands of Mrs. Ann Scott, she declaring the same upon her oath with cost of suit. Also on this day the Sheriff made a return of an attachment granted to Ann Scott widow by William Kendall Senr Gentleman Extr on the estate of Mordica Holt in the hands of John Hanby and Ann Holt they declaring that they have so much of the estate of the said Holt as will pay the said Scotts debt of 300 lbs tobacco and she proving her account according to law therefore Judgement is granted by the Court to the said Scott against the said Holt for the sum of tobacco forthwith to be paid to the said Scott out of the said Holt's estate and in the hands aforesaid with cost of the suit.1 |
