AnecdoteLafayette Redman is my great grandfather on my grandmother Mary Louella (Ella) Redman's side of my family.  Lafayette was married three times.  His first wife was Eliza Jane Battles born 6 Nov 1838 in St. Clair, Alabama, USA. She died 1865 in Izard County, Arkansas.  Her parents were Francis Nelson Battles 1816-1863 and Mary Ann Lawson 1819-1870. Lafayette and Eliza Jane Battles had three sons--Hosah b. 1860, John B. b. 1862, and Joel b. 1863. All three boys were born in Arkansas.
Lafayette's second wife was Rhoda (Rody) Ann Clark born about 1837 in Tennessee, USA. She died during child birth 1870 in Franklin, Izard County, Arkansas. Lafayette Redman's third wife was my great grandmother, Laura Ann Jones Montgomery Halbrook Redman b.
