BROWN Monday, January 28, 2008 11:32 PM EST MAYSVILLE -- Mrs. Josie Mae Armstrong Brown, 74, of Maysville died Sunday at her home after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brown. Josie was born on Nov. 30, 1933, in Cookville, Tenn. to the late Willard and Ether Ora Anderson Armstrong. She is survived by her son, Ben Taylor (Kathryn) of Maysville; five daughters, Patricia C. Trembley of West Milton, Ohio, Deborah S. (James) Mowen of Dayton, Ohio, Patricia A. Thompson of Maysville, Denise D. (Ronald) Bragg of Dayton, Ohio, and Brenda K. (Mark) Wilson of Maysville; three sisters, Opal Wickline of Columbus, Betty Jean Armstrong of Batavia, Ohio, and Elizabeth Fortner of Chesapeake, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Clinton; her brother, Garland Armstong; and a sister Mary Ruth Knapper. Services for Josie Brown are 11 a.m., Thursday at the May's Lick Baptist Church with Rev. David Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery. |
