Page 28. Court held 13th March 1689/90. Ordered that William Loxham shall make present payment of the sum of one hundred and sixty pds of tobacco to JOHN COLCLOUGH, BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH and Phillip Willen per piece for their attendance four days at Court in suit depending between him and Charles Baldridge with costs.

Ordered that Thomas Howard shall make present payment of the sum of Eighty pounds of Tobacco to BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH for his attendance two days at Court in a suit depending between him and Thomas Odenele with costs.

Pages 29-30. Court held 14th March 1689/90. BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH complaineth against Nathal. West in a plea of Debt and for his assupsed for Daniel Richmond who stood indebted to him the said Plt 80 pds of Tobacco for a pair of Drawers sold him all which he refuseth to pay . . . and forasmuch as Nathaniel West hath absented himself out of this County so that the due process of Law could not be had against him Therefore it is ordered that BENJAMIN COLCLOUGH the Plt came and prayed for an order against the Sheriff according to Act of Assembly and William Wilford came into Court and assumed payment of Three hundred and fifty pds of Tobacco out of the Debt.. 4-5-97
